Ten Years 03:08
Never should’ve cut my hair it looks real weird in the mirror but I was stoned and stupid crippled in judgement Could’ve put the scissors down could’ve even gone downtown but I was stoned and stupid crippled in judgement This could be what’s happening old world, cold start this could be a temporary thing ten years I couldn’t fake it I was looking around you saw that hole in my pocket so you gave me a job but i’m still on vacation in my mind oohooohooh Change is a blessing put your t-shirt back on I’m getting stoned in the bathroom tryin’ to finish this song Surrender to the motion there’s something about evolving This could be what’s happening old world, cold start this could be a temporary thing ten years

I feel safe, in my brain cause there’s a million things outside it that’ll hurt ya If you escape the dementia from running through your body Your body your body your body your body I feel safe, in my brain cause there’s a million things outside it that’ll hurt ya If you escape the dementia from running through your body Your body blood crystal blood crystal blood crystal

T V 03:02
How many goals will they score The prize was brought in gold It could fill all the cracks could feed the pour fix up my car oooh ooh I’ve been surfing on a channel stream there’s nothing on but a mystery. Who killed her in her sleep? Who killed her in her sleep? This time.. It’s misunderstood This time.. It’s misunderstood What is this information? How do I find the truth? Buying and selling patience T.V is it good?

Solid State 02:57
I think we are solid state I wanna jump out of the pool into the arms of family it always felt better than good It takes a lot, a marathon a buzzing of crowds in my head and if I sleep in too long I’ll finish the race when I’ve rest oooh ooooh Mmm m It takes a lot, a steady head a pocket guide, or a pocket lense to magnify this love for you let that beam help get us through So I pulled a map out in a stream of concrete dust can’t help but feel that rush to get out of here I need some transportation, I want more rock n’ roll cause theres this beat deep beneath that keeps driving me home
5.
Flight 01:29
Tell me all the things that I want to hear, baby. Keep it short and fun, thats a heavy hit. There have been too many gifts thrown around lately caught it in my heart and my stomach pit Oh unconscious truth are we in flight? Play in suit Talking in the dark it’s so easy to unfold it you can close your eyes and be anywhere If I had a car with wheels I’d make that move faster open up your eyes and give it a stare Oh unconscious truth are we in flight? Play in suit Oh unconscious truth are we in flight? Plat in suit.

Easy Days 03:06
It’s time to press go But you don’t know what you’re doing Throw away the easy days They had a strong hold But this time i’m gonna leave them There’s never gonna be an easy way If that thing makes me happy Then i’ll be okay Folding sunrise, early onset Go away. Everyone I know has got some kind of problem We were hoping for an easy phase It’s gonna take a lot to win back all the hours There’s never gonna be an easy day Mission conquest, futile youth tests I’ll race you to the line Save the vampires, hunt the stifler who runs away To sail the sea Run away Or sail with me Lets go drink under the bridge tonight We can make a fire from that garbage pile And I don’t know why he sailed I don’t know why he sailed

I’ve been way I’ve been way across town there’s so much to see it’s only my fifth time around I don’t have the faith to live beyond this garden gate. You always look sick you always look sick and lonely swimming in smoke even your smile looks angry And it’s not what you say it’s how you spit it out that way you’re always scared and out of tune and it’s just the afternoon That was a lie cause it’s kinda stagnant there’s force in the sky a kind of magnet That was a lie cause it’s kinda stagnant there’s force in the sky a kind of magnet I don’t have the faith to live beyond this garden gate.

I’ve been pulling teeth like they’re worth nothing Money’s thin , it’s always been worth guessing Does your heart beat through your brain like it needs something ‘Cause I’ve been pulling teeth like they’re worth nothing. This night’s too long this night’s too long can’t pull the plug can’t talk it down This night’s too long something went wrong jumped in a car rolling down the hill. I’ve been lookin’ around for all the cool kids The streets are thin , you never win by kissing Does your heart beat through your brain like it wants something Cause i’ve been pulling teeth like they’re worth nothing This night’s too long this night’s too long can’t pull the plug can’t talk it down This night’s too long something went wrong jumped in a car rolling down the hill.

Smash Pump 02:54
How could this be something to throw under the table Mother always knows whats a fact and whats a fable I found you in my hands like a stamp or like a letter call upon, don’t move on but move on We were playing for a bet your loves alive and caught me on decent How could this be something , a tearing of the fabric pull on all the strings just to see what you could have All impending motion, like pacing in the dark blame it on emotion, a passing of the heart We were playing for a bet your loves alive and caught me on decent How long will this game run into the sun? You can measure it that way Into the sun you’re the golden one you’re the golden one.

Forget me now Forget me now It’s just the harsh howl of their calling surround it till their heart stops beating just the harsh howl of their calling. This is not how my life goes I was not dressed in these clothes this is not how my life goes I know, I know. Its dark.

about

In the six years since the release of Huddle, sprawling tours and shifting tones have shaped Klarka Weinwurm’s new 10 track album, Easy Days. Titled in reference to the last decade or so she’s spent living on Canada’s east coast and playing in bands, Easy Days is something of an ode to our youth, our innocence and simplicity. It’s an image of time, growth and change of tone.
Songs like “Pulling Teeth” hark back to Weinwurm’s signature swampy blend of angelic folk vocals and dark, doomy garage riffs that evoke the scenery of Sackville’s marshlands she calls home. Unlike earlier releases, Easy Days flirts with dancey drum grooves and Weinwurm’s playful meanderings on a Yamaha PSS 170 toy keyboard, situating this upcoming release as the band’s furthest foray into pop.
This release was recorded between June 2019 and December 2020 with Dave Trenaman at The Quarantine in Port Greville, Nova Scotia. The Quarantine is a home studio with an introspection-inducing view of the Bay of Fundy, where the likes of Whoop Szo, Partner, and Julie Doiron have tracked some of their recent records. Easy Days features a mix of familiar and fresh bandmates, with Ian MacDougall(Tom Fun Orchestra, Hash Jesus, Robot Orbison) on bass, Luke Patterson (Mouthbreathers, Grease Beast, Jon Mckiel) on drums and some guest second guitar appearances by Zac Hackett (Lester Slade, East Coast Love Story, Grosse Bouche). Held down by Weinwurm’s signature gritty guitar tones and dreamy double tracked vocals, this newly crafted quartet brings a crisp polish to her trademark dilapidated, driving, punchy pop grooves.
